Layout: 45C, BR (LMR), 1960s

Published 25 September 2018, 16:48

This busy layout models a bustling depot scene in ‘OO’ gauge. It started off as a project to create a half roundhouse and has since been expanded to include a diesel servicing point and part of Stratford Works.

These first sections have now been joined by a new depot area, including full access to the works plus a viaduct scene with the backdrop being used to model a Royal Marine training course. The latter is detailed with scale laser scanned figures representing the steps troops had to follow during training.

Control for the layout is handled by Gaugemaster Prodigy Advance handsets and all locomotives you see have had digital sound installed too. A wide variety of motive can be seen covering mainly London Midland Region designs, though you will see interlopers too.

45C featured in HM125.
