News: Four more layouts added!

Published 6 June 2019, 14:29

Soar Valley Model Railway Club’s giant 41ft x 13ft four-sided ‘OO’ gauge layout Dorehill St Stevens (HM103) is one of four new layouts announced for the 2019 Great Electric Train Show in Milton Keynes on October 12/13.

Dorehill St Stevens is joined by Andy Stephney’s busy West Coast Main Line ‘N’ gauge layout Kings Park, Simon Howard’s pre-nationalisation ‘EM’ layout Wainthrop Bridge and Simon Paley’s modern era Norwood Road in ‘OO’ gauge.

These new additions extend the line-up revealed so far to 17 of the 30 layouts which are booked to attend the event. This will be the show’s second year at the Marshall Arena, Stadium MK, in Milton Keynes and builds on the success of the 2018 event.

Advance tickets are available to purchase now offering a discount over on-the-day prices. For the 2019 show, children can enter the event for free on October 13 (maximum of two per paying adult). A new ‘Kids Zone’ is being created for the 2019 show.

The trade list for the Great Electric Train Show stands at 50 including a new Specialist Trade Zone on the balconies. Traders include Hornby Hobbies, DCC Concepts, Hatton’s Model Railways, Kernow Model Rail Centre, Cheltenham Model Centre, KR Models, Keen Systems, Scale Model Scenery, TMC, Digitrains, DC Kits, Locomotion Models, Rails of Sheffield and more. The full list of attending trades is now available by clicking the 'traders' button above.
