Branksdowne Junction models a fictional off-shoot of the West Coast Main Line in the Pennines, set in the 2000s. Branksdowne station is served by Northern Rail, TransPennine Express and London Midland services operating to/from Liverpool and Manchester, while the area also boasts a motive power depot which plays host to EWS and Network Rail locomotives and rolling stock. Analogue controlled, the layout features overhead electrification, LED signals, a mobile phone mast and even a scratch-built wind turbine!
