With more than 4,000 visitors attending the Great Electric Train Show on October 11/12 2014, the event raised the bar for attendance over the inaugural show in 2013.
With 30 superb layouts, 30 traders offering a wide selection of products and the new Skills Zone featuring a wealth of experience from its demonstrators, there was plenty to keep visitors entertained throughout the weekend.
Peter Midwinter's 'OO' gauge layout Glen Gillie and Loch Inch (HM71) scooped the 'Visitor's Choice Award', chosen by visitors to the show, while Croydon Model Railway Society's Wellbridge (HM10) was bestowed the award for 'Best in Show', chosen by the Hornby Magazine team.
